Captains Day 2008  Captain Wil Owen's Captain's Day brought out the best in winner Les McKean who admitted at the presentation that this was his 34th attempt at winning the Captains Prize. A very popular winner he thanked the Captain and congratulated the greens staff on the condition of the course. The Stableford format received a mixed response from the competitors but was declared a success by many as it speeded up play.
